Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,Enviro-Yacht 2009 was a great success with continuing calls for the congress to be repeated. The demand from the market is strong for environmentally sound vessels. Industry has recognised this call for the building of environmentally sound vessels to be the way ahead and is adapting to the call.During Enviro-Yacht 2009, we were introduced to many new technologies. Many of these new technologies have been taken up and have been incorporated into new and existing vessels and are now in service.
New technologies introduced at Enviro-Yacht 2009 will than have a track history and there would seem to be great interest from industry in hearing from the suppliers and users of these recently introduced technologies as to how they were commissioned, used and maintained. Feedback is how we grow and meet market demands.
Next Enviro-Yacht would again offer emerging technologies a platform to be introduced, as those currently being used, were introduced at Enviro-Yacht 2009.
Classification societies have developed new green concepts, which they may wish to introduce to the industry via the platform.
The next Enviro-Yacht could be the ideal platform for industry to gauge what the market wants in an Enviro-Yacht, by giving owners and their representatives and engineers a vehicle to pass on their thoughts and desires.
Additionally, it gives designers and classification societies and builders the ideal arena to extol their newly emerging designs, technologies and concepts.
